Prague12 Things to do in Prague in Winter
  1. Go to the sauna

     Sauna

Saunas are quite popular in the Czech Republic, maybe under the influence of slavic brothers, so it should be easy to find one. The one we'll try today is on Wenceslas Square http://www.oasiscity.cz/#!wellness-zona/c1x3g.

  2. Visit a museum

     Mucha

Except many buildings of National Museum such as its New Building or Czech Museum of Music (www.nm.cz/Visit-Us/), admirers of science might be interested also in visiting National Technical Museum (www.ntm.cz/en). Worth visiting is also a museum dedicated to famous czech Art Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha (www.mucha.cz)

  3. Go to the restaurant for a good czech cuisine

     Kolkovna Prague

Czech traditional food is mostly really heavy, but visiting a restaurant which serves Czech food can be a perfect ending of a winter afternoon, especially if you spent the day sighseeing in the city. We particularly recommend this one : http://www.kolkovna.cz/index.php?place=12&show=hot. This chain was voted the best czech cooking by expats.

  4. Bistro

     Bistro Obchod No.19

If you prefer a bit lighter lunch, get inspired by locals and try one of brand new small bistros in the city. The food is always homemade, often vegetarian or vegan and the menu changes every day.

Together with exploring Letna Park try Bistro 8 http://www.bistro8.cz

Enjoy the best burgers in the city in Dish Burger Bistro http://www.dish.cz

In the heart of the Old Town (and across the street from VIOLET, KLARA and KAROLINA) is Bistro & Obchod No. 19 https://www.facebook.com/bistro19

  5. Enjoy a café

     EMA espresso bar

In past two years, Prague experienced a boom of new cafés finally comparable to those in London or Berlin. So except traditional ones such as Kavárna Slavie or Café Louvre, you can try Saturday brunch in Café Neustadt or a dessert in Cukrkávalimonáda close to Charles Bridge, enjoy an amazing coffee in EMA espresso bar or Café Lounge or escape from a touristic center and hang out with locals in wonderful Vinohrady district in Moment Café, Monolok or Bio Zahrada.
